Job Description

Python Developer
Columbia, SC (Hybrid) Must be able to come into the office once a week..
$110K/YR
REQUIRED technologies (such as products, platforms, applications, equipment, operating systems, servers etc.) • Programing languages (Python, Software build tools (NPM, Maven, etc.) • Pipeline tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, etc.) • Configuration Management Tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc.) • Version Control Systems (GitHub) • Shell/Bash Scripting

Please list out the top 2-4 PREFERRED/NICE TO HAVE technologies (meaning you would still consider them if they don’t have that experience, but it is highly desired that they do have it) AWS, OpenShift/Kubernetes, Splunk

Please write out a few sentences describing what a typical day would like in this role and *specifically speak to what they are doing with the above technologies* (are they updating, integrating, building, testing, supporting, using, administering etc?) We are in the process of modernizing our development pipeline, so this developer will be scripting and building test code, managing source control and deployment tools, and assisting the migration of these elements from traditional VMs to containers.

Please add a few bullets of what you’re NOT looking for technology / experience wise (this really helps the vendors in their search and narrowing down the candidate pool) We are not looking for server administrators.

Please list any ‘soft skills’ (communication, leadership, adaptable etc.) that you would like candidates to have and the importance of these skills for this role (ex – do they need strong communication skills because they will be apart of team presentations?) Good communication and documentation skills, able to problem solve, able to work independently and be able to collaborate to swarm a problem.

Team Details

We are a 15-person, diverse team with a strong culture of supporting each other. We do not say “that’s not my job” and will swarm problems to ensure success. We’re often the team tagged to try new things first, so flexibility is important.
