Actuarial Expert - Python Knowledge

Are you a skilled Actuarial professional with a knack for Python programming? We're on the lookout for a talented individual to join our client in Surrey (Hybrid) for an exciting strategic initiative, on an initial 6 month contract. As an Actuarial Expert with Python Knowledge, you'll be instrumental in revamping and enhancing this client's platform's calculations and analyses to meet the dynamic needs of their users.
Along with actuarial expertise with ideally a focus on Annuities products and strong python programming skills, you will ideally also have the following:
- Pricing experience
- Proficiency in understanding basic product features and guarantees.
- Minimum of 2 Actuarial exams.
Mandatory proficiency in Python, including:
- Data types
- List Comprehensions
- Data manipulation and error handling
- Various libraries such as Pandas, Numpy, Datetime
- Excel integration using Xlwings or similar tools
- Matplotlib
- Creating dashboards with Dask/Flask or equivalent frameworks
- Running parallel calculations in Python (eg, concurrent)
- Automating Excel calculations with Python
- Code optimization
- Data analytics and visualization
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to justify design decisions.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Strong presentation skills.
