Title: AWS Solution Architect/application developer with Python

Location: Piscataway, NJ

Duration: 6 months

Position type: W2 contract

Primary Skills

We are looking for someone with a very strong development background who is currently a Solution Architect.

Secondary Skills

  • Informatica
  • SQL
  • .NET (Nice to have)

Technical Expertise

  • Python Proficiency:
  • Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Understanding of Python libraries and frameworks relevant to the project (e.g., Pyspark)
  • Implementing best practices for Python development.
  • AWS Proficiency:
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, etc.
  • Architecting scalable and secure cloud-based solutions.
  • Managing AWS resources and optimizing cloud expenses.

Leadership and Coordination

  • Team Management:
  • Leading a diverse team of software developers, possibly with various levels of expertise.
  • Distributing tasks effectively based on team members' strengths.
  • Ensuring the professional growth of team members through mentorship and training.
  • Client Stakeholder Coordination:
  • Acting as the primary point of contact between the development team and the client.
  • Understanding client requirements and translating them into technical specifications.
  • Managing expectations and ensuring that deliverables meet client needs.
  • Project Management:
  • Agile Methodologies:
  • Implementing and managing Agile processes like Scrum or Kanban.
  • Conducting regular stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Tracking project progress using tools like JIRA or Trello.

Communication

  • Facilitating effective communication within the team.
  • Resolving conflicts and fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Clearly conveying project status and technical concepts to stakeholders.
  • Negotiating timelines and scope changes when necessary.

Problem-Solving

  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as they arise.
  • Analyzing complex systems and making decisions based on multiple factors.

Additional Considerations

  • Being able to work with and lead team members from varied geographical parts.

Certifications

Having relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, PMP, CSM) could be beneficial.
