About the Client and Role
The client is a global visual inspiration social media platform used by people around the world to discover and personalize visual content. The role at Capgemini Engineering is for a Software Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure Engineer) who will work on one of the world's largest social media platforms dealing with petabytes of data daily. The engineer will contribute as part of an R&D self-organized team working in a challenging, innovative environment for the client.
Your Future Tasks
- Create blueprints for hybrid cloud infrastructures centered around AWS.
- Provide hands-on prototypes and implementations incorporating cloud engineering best practices.
- Design, implement, and maintain pipelines that produce business-critical data reliably and efficiently using cloud technology.
- Regularly evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software.
- Work closely with IT security to monitor the company's cloud privacy.
- Identify the top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs.
- Evaluate implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency.
- Understand the business drivers and analytical use-cases and translate these to data products.
Our Requirements
- Experience as a Software Engineer with AWS Cloud services (AWS).
- Experience with programming languages C++ and Python.
- Experience with production back-end service development.
- Experience with service operations (deployment, testing).
- Experience with assessing application performance (latency, CPU utilization, profiling).
- Experience with Infrastructure as a Services API development.
- Knowledge of SSH, HTTPS, Certs, Encryption protocols.
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing AWS solutions.
