Akuna Capital: Engineering Manager in the Risk Team

Akuna Capital is seeking an experienced hands-on Engineering Manager to join the Technology team and enhance the global risk platform. The Risk Development team is responsible for managing market, credit, and counterparty risk for the business across various asset classes and geographies with a strong focus on automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of less than 5 software engineers
• Build highly scalable, real-time risk valuation software
• Create data schema for market risk modeling
• Collaborate with analysts to develop new risk modeling approaches
• Work with the C++ pricing team on risk vol models and dynamics

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in leading software engineering teams
• Proficiency with Python and C++
• Knowledge of relational databases, specifically Postgres
• Skills in asynchronous programming in Python
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong communication skills and collaborative nature
• Understanding of the trading domain and finance, including option Greeks
• Ability to gather user requirements and design appropriate solutions
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or related field
