Full Stack Engineer (Java/Python/Data Science)

Position Description

We are seeking a versatile and passionate Full Stack Engineer to join our growing team who will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance web applications using a variety of technologies.

Your future duties and responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance web applications using a variety of technologies including Java, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, and SQL.
  • Implement robust messaging solutions, containerization strategies, and web container configurations.
  • Utilize test automation frameworks to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, product, QA) to deliver high-quality features on time and within budget.
  • Leverage Python data science libraries to analyze data and extract meaningful insights.
  • Contribute to the design and maintenance of continuous integration and delivery pipelines using CI/CD tools like GIT, Cloudbees Jenkins, uDeploy, and/or Pivotal Concourse.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in full-stack development and data science.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer with strong Java and Python programming skills.
  • Familiarity with core data science libraries and concepts.
  • Experience in some of the following technologies continuous integration/delivery tools such as GIT, Cloudbees Jenkins, uDeploy and/or Pivotal Concourse. Knowledge of containerization technologies and web container configuration.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks.
  • Knowledge in python web frameworks like Flask, Django is a plus.
  • Fluency in formal language design concepts like type systems a plus.
  • Experience with quant research processes, methodologies, and tools a plus.
  • Experience with Financial Data a plus.

This role must be located at one of the following locations: Knoxville, TN.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $119,500 -$230,100.
