Responsibilities

  • Back-end services and APIs design, development, and maintenance using Python, Django, Flask, or other relevant frameworks
  • Efficient queueing systems implementation using technologies like RabbitMQ, Kafka, or AWS SQS to manage asynchronous tasks and decouple components
  • Collaboration with front-end developers to integrate back-end services seamlessly into web applications, ensuring optimal performance and user experience
  • Architecting and implementing cloud-native solutions on AWS to achieve global scalability and high availability for our applications
  • Application performance and resource utilization optimization through effective load balancing, caching mechanisms, and database tuning
  • Automated deployment pipelines development and maintenance using CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline
  • System health, performance metrics, and application logs monitoring to identify and resolve issues proactively, ensuring uninterrupted service availability
  • Security best practices implementation to safeguard sensitive data and protect against common vulnerabilities and threats
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions on time
  • Staying updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continually improve our development processes and enhance product capabilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer with a strong focus on back-end development using Python
  • Deep understanding of queueing systems and their implementation in distributed applications
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, and CloudFormation
  • Proficiency in designing and deploying highly available, fault-tolerant architectures on AWS
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
  • Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Nice to have

  • AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer) would be a plus
  • Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for infrastructure automation and configuration management would be beneficial
  • Familiarity with message brokering and event-driven architectures would be desirable
  • Previous experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments would be a bonus
