About this role: The Master Data Management Engineer will be responsible for designing and building Master Data Management functionality that would help enable better Master Data across Gartner. She would maintain the highest data quality standards demanded by Gartner utilizing multiple state of the art technologies in data engineering, data operations, and data mastering in a cloud-based environment.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for providing technical design, development, and deployment of innovative data solutions.
  • Analyze business requirements, design solutions, and implement functionality related to Data Management.
  • Build and maintain Data Pipelines using SQL and AWS technologies like Glue and Python.
  • Build and configure web services, Event Driven Architecture components.
  • Utilize MDM tools like Ataccama and in-house tools to ensure filtering, mastering, and data quality rules are appropriately enabled and adequately tested.
  • Engage in day-to-day data operations involving troubleshooting data pipelines and monitoring and maintaining job schedules.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical and business requirements.
  • Follow best practices and industry standards while implementing Data Engineering and Mastering functions.

Requirements:

  • Strong IT professional with 4+ years of experience in cloud-based data engineering, preferably in AWS.
  • Proficiency in either Python/Java programming.
  • Proficient in utilizing AWS services.
  • Excellent SQL and data analytics skills.
  • Experience in PostgreSQL or similar cloud-based DB.
  • Experience working with AWS Glue.
  • Experience in Data Governance, Data Architecture, and Data Operations.
  • Basic understanding of MDM fundamentals and domains.

Who You Are

Graduate/Postgraduate, Postgraduate, in BE/Btech, ME/MTech, or MCA is preferred. Excellent communication skills. Attitude and aptitude to learn, collaborate, and work towards common goals of the team. Must be a team player. Able to work independently or within but interact with a team proactively collaboratively in a fast-paced AGILE-SCRUM environment. Owns success – Takes responsibility for the successful delivery. Feels strongly about the importance of Master Data and will do your best to improve its quality and trust across the organization.
