Python Developer

Description

• Mid-to-Sr Python developer who can support an enterprise client facing “web application” that is developed by a third-party vendor.
• He will be the sole person to support this app, while we build a team around him (additionally 1 offshore dev in training and 1 other tester).
• The application itself is vendor-owned but managed and supported by the bank and is deployed on the bank infrastructure.
• Looking for all-round experience who can review code and find issues while triaging, have deep engineering knowledge on infrastructure (app-host and apache) and containerization.
• Proficiency/experience with containers (OpenShift/Kubernetes)
• Direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations.
• Experience with Oracle/Exadata; ability to navigate and write optimized SQL queries
• Understanding and usage of DevOps processes for the build and deployment
• 2+ years of experience working in Agile teams (Preferably Scaled Agile)
• CI/CD in Openshift/ Kubernetes would be added advantage
• Positive attitude, ability to be flexible, and work in a team in a fast-paced project environment.
• Willingness to be accountable for meeting all deliverable dates for task assignments.
• Knowledge of business and industry processes
• Ability to mentor and guide junior developers on the team
• Excellent analysis and troubleshooting skills
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with No-SQL (Elastic, Marklogic, MongoDB) etc.
• Backend developer in J2EE technologies and framework like Spring, JDBC, SOAP/REST API, etc. for integration.
• Prefer candidates with a well-rounded career history working with large private and public enterprise systems with a large number of users and processing large datasets in critical enterprise systems
• Development experience in Big data and knowledgeable with the Hadoop stack (Scala, Spark, PySpark,
