Our Software Development department delivers the software for control, monitoring and diagnosis of our multi-beam mask writers in the semiconductor industry. This software spans a wide range from low level hardware-abstraction to high-level user interfaces. As a software developer with Python focus, you will employ leading edge technologies to develop elegant and robust software for our products.

Responsibilities

• Write software to automate multi-beam mask writers
• Discuss requirements and gather specifications in collaboration with other teams and IMS partners
• Work in project teams on complex and interesting problems
• You will share knowledge with other developers regarding best practices, workflows and coding standards
• Advance our distributed software architecture by continuously researching new options and improving your skills
• Take responsibility for code quality and reliability by writing automated tests, reviewing code changes and documenting features
• Maintain and improve the existing code base
• Respond to software-related errors, perform root-cause analysis, and provide solutions

Qualifications

• Profound knowledge of Python and an understanding of programming paradigms like object-oriented or functional programming
• Three or more years of professional experience as a software developer
• Familiarity with standard development methods like code review, version control (git) and bug-tracking
• Knowledge to design software with a focus on robustness and low maintenance
• Experience in performance optimization and profiling, Python libraries like numpy, distributed software development like client/server applications and containerization with docker
• Experience developing in a Linux environment
• Good grasp of the py.test unit testing framework
• Good communication skills and enjoy working in a team
• Very good command of spoken and written English
