Job Description
We are seeking a Data Scientist/Python developer with strong Python coding experience for our direct client.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for scaling and operating Woot cloud’s device detection, risk and threat analytics.
- Refine existing technologies to make the product more performant while delivering on business requirements.
- Design and implement features based on product requirements in collaboration with product managers, other developers and QA.
- Engage in cross functional team conversation to help prioritize tasks, communicate clearly to team members about their goals and overall deliver on business requirements.
Key Skills and Experience
Work with data engineers to retrieve, clean and normalize data.
- Define scalable data acquisition and labeling strategy for specific use cases.
- Required Skills
BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Statistics or Engineering or with focus in ML/AI
At least 7-8 years of work experience with hands-on technical experience
Experience building software in the security domain will be a plus.
Strong Python coding skills are required.
Strong research and development experience in Machine Learning & Data Science/Engineering.
At least 3 years of industry experience in applying AI/ML, preferably on well-known security products or services, such as malware detection, anomaly detection, security analytics and data security.
Deep technical expertise in applying AI/ML technologies in security applications and/or adjacent domains, ideally has been through the entire lifecycle of an award-winning security product, and must be passionate about IoT security.
Hands-on experience with relevant technology stacks such as Python, Tensorflow, Spark, Java/Scala, etc.
Hands-on experience with Machine Learning tools and packages: Jupyter, ScikitLearn, H2O, Numpy, Pandas, TensorFlow, Keras, etc.
Hands-on experience using modern big data pipeline.
Thorough knowledge of Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics, Statistics, etc.
Familiar with non-SQL databases like MongoDB, Elasticsearch etc.
Good understanding of TCP/IP, Security, and 802.11 protocol stacks is a great plus.
Identify strong AI/ML use cases in IoT security, data security and adjacent domains.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
