Role Overview
The Python Engineer will play a key role in the development and delivery of cutting-edge AI solutions within cloud-hosted environments. This individual will be an integral part of our dynamic team, working closely with the AI Solutions Architect and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions to our enterprise clients. The Enterprise Python Engineer will bring expertise in translating architectural designs into robust and scalable AI implementations, ensuring adherence to data protection standards, cost control measures, and scalability requirements for large organizations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of new Python-based applications, ensuring they meet standards for scalability and security.
- Oversee the integration of applications with various external services, ensuring seamless data exchange and functionality across systems.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs to support application interoperability and enhance user experiences.
- Guide the team in adopting cloud-native solutions for application deployment, focusing on scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
- Lead by example in adopting best practices in code quality, documentation, and maintainability to ensure long-term success of projects.
- Actively participate in code reviews and collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot complex issues and identify optimal solutions.
- Drive the incorporation of machine learning models into applications, collaborating with data scientists to leverage data-driven insights.
- Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support to foster skill development and promote a culture of continuous learning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on Python.
- Demonstrable experience with REST API development, cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP), and service integrations.
- Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, including agile development, code reviews, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Proficiency in machine learning concepts and experience integrating ML models into applications is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
