Are you an experienced Python Developer who has worked on Gen AI projects either on personal projects or commercially? We're looking for a talented engineer to develop a tool that bridges the gap between human queries from customers, clients, and employees, and SQL queries. In this role, you'll play a key role building a Gen AI system that facilitates seamless communication between users and databases, enhancing efficiency and accuracy in data retrieval and analysis.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the development of systems with a specific emphasis on AI/ML applications, CI/CD pipelines, APIs, and communication layers across hybrid architectures spanning multiple public clouds and private data centers.
- Engineer global-scale backends using microservices or distributed systems, primarily in Python (experience in other languages is advantageous).
- Collaborate on PDF parsing and/or optical character recognition (OCR) projects.
- Construct data pipelines and contribute to large-scale enterprise systems.
- Create robust, reusable code focusing on core engineering principles, including building libraries and frameworks.
Experience Required:
- Strong Python fluency
- Django
- Experience with GenAI and Machine Learning technologies
- Familiarity with DevOps tools like Docker and Kubernetes (preferred but not mandatory).
- Commercial experience in managing systems at scale, handling extensive datasets across multiple regions.
- Ability to advocate for technology strategy vision and developed solutions within a large matrixed organization.
- Strong communication skills to facilitate ideation and conflict management.
- Proficiency in discussing complex technical issues with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including peers and product owners.
This is a hybrid role but flexible - 1-2 days in the office preferred in London to collaborate with the team. The role is outside IR35 and rate range is circa £500-£700 dependent on experience.
