Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience solving problems by developing software solutions using established patterns and practices
  • Experience with the programming languages, frameworks, and platforms used by the team, such as Python, C++, Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular
  • Experience conducting integration tests, assisting with software releases, and providing ongoing support
  • Familiarity with Agile software development practices and artifacts, such as user stories, backlog refinement, and sprint planning
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science, machine learning, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or Machine Learning or a related discipline
  • Proficient programming development experience in Python
  • 1 year of experience with the AWS ecosystem (EKS, ECS, Glue, API Gateway, Redshift, Athena, EMR, Kinesis, S3)
  • 1 year of experience with developing on distributed computing platforms, such as Spark
  • 1 year of experience in deploying highly available (HA) analytics applications in a production cloud environment
  • 1 year of experience working with large structured and unstructured datasets
  • Extensive knowledge of software development life cycle processes and Agile concepts
  • Extensive knowledge of developing unit and regression tests for production systems
  • Ability to understand business concepts and derive technology solutions
  • Ability to effectively translate business requirements and specifications into applications
  • Ability to work with or without complete business requirements or specifications
  • Ability to grasp broad, loosely developed concepts while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience using continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)

Job Summary

As a Software Engineer I, you'll be a proficient developer, familiar with most patterns and practices of your languages and tools. You'll contribute to the team's consistent delivery of iterative value to your clients.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and deploy data science and machine learning services by using Python programming languages on all level of environments
  • Maintain and update data science services to fix errors, improve the overall quality and functionality, and update integrations with other systems and applications
  • Support, develop, and maintain RPA (Robotic Process Automation) bots
  • Analyze user needs to determine how data science services should be built or if existing services should be modified
  • Work with data scientist to design and develop data science solution APIs
  • Process and understand capabilities and limitations of data science solutions from the service
  • Participate in design and code reviews
  • Assist with delivery estimates
  • Determine and execute the solution deployment process
  • Provide software documentation and demonstration for technical and non-technical audiences

Colorado, New York City, California, and Washington Candidates Only. The salary range for this position is seventy thousand dollars to one hundred forty-seven thousand five-hundred dollars. The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus and other employment-related benefits including, but not limited to, medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401K retirement plan, and paid-time off.
