Job Description

Computer Hardware Engineer to join our team to support our client top priority defense needs. The Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, facilities instruments, components, systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use. This dynamic individual will lead the execution of complex tasks, apply and integrate engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test or evaluate military weapons systems. for the c-UAS programs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems and components for defense applications, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and testing of electrical systems to verify performance, reliability, and safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and project managers, to integrate electrical systems into larger projects.
  • Provide technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle, from concept development to final implementation and deployment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or challenges related to electrical systems and components.
  • Stay updated on advancements in electrical engineering technologies and techniques and incorporate relevant innovations into project designs.

Experience and Skills Required

  • 3 years or more of relevant experience
  • Experience with Embedded computing (FPGA Hardware Description Language experience, digital logic experience)
  • Programming (e.g., C, Python, LabVIEW, visual basic)
  • Interfacing with hardware (USB, serial, etc.)
  • Experience in design, verification, and testing
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft office (Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities, with the capability to work in a team environment.
  • Cameo / sysML / model-based systems engineering experience

Education and Certification

  • Bachelor’s level degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with field of concentration in computer science.
  • CompTIA A+ (Plus) certification and/or CompTIA Network+ (Plus) certification or training classes to achieve these certifications.
