Job Description
Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Senior Developer (Python). This is a non-ongoing role with an initial contract duration of 12 months, with a potential extension term of 12 months for up to 2 extensions, located at our client's offices in ACT. The successful candidate is expected to work 5 days a week, up to 40 hours.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate understanding of best practice software engineering practices.
- Lead a team of developers.
- Develop using the Python programming language.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD solutions.
- Design and develop distributed systems.
Requirements:
- Broad knowledge in software engineering concepts.
- Proficiency in programming languages.
- Experience in software build pipelines (e.g. CI/CD).
- Familiarity with cloud IaaS services.
- Expertise in Linux containers.
- Understanding of networking, system architecture, Linux, and Cloud security best practice.
It is desirable if you have:
- Experience with cloud IaaS environments (preferably AWS).
