At Cognizant Digital Engineering, a small multi-functional team comprised of a Product Manager, an Architect, Full-Stack Developers, UI/UX designers, and Big Data analysts builds higher quality software faster siloed individuals working independently. The Role
Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Frontend Developer Angular-Python to serve our diverse base of global clients. As a member of our team, you will build innovative applications that powers modern business. An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a diverse, collaborative, geographically distributed team. Similarly, the ideal candidate is an expert engineer who values the “team”, drives continuous improvement and is unafraid to challenge the legacy status quo with creative cloud-based solutions.
Location: Baltimore, MD.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Practicing disciplined software engineering (e.g. automated testing, code reviews, and writing beautiful, pragmatic code)
- Coding in JavaScript (React, Redux, NodeJS, Webpack)
- Building out a brand new data management tool to support our business and operational users, working closely with the rest of the Data and Analytics platform
- Helping create wireframes, designing features and UIs, crafting a great user experience.
- Unit testing, integration testing. Contributing to maintaining and constantly improving the CI/CD pipeline
- Code reviews, design reviews
- Code instrumentation, setting up proactive monitoring dashboards
- Release management on a team rota
- Collaborating closely with users and domain experts in order to gather requirements, analyze solutions and triage feedback and incidents
- Understanding business requirements and translating them into technical requirements
Qualifications
Required skills and expertise:
- Expert JavaScript programming
- Extensive professional experience with React, Redux, NodeJS, Webpack
- Familiarity with AWS
- Experience using Material UI design system
- Proficient testing with Cypress
Preferred experience/skills
- Experience in Angular
- Experience implementing services in Node
- Experience building micro frontends
- Experience with ag-Grid
- Experience with TypeScript
- Programming in Python
- An understanding of the asset management business and/or financial markets
- Experience with redux-saga is a bonus
Work Authorization

The annual salary for this position is between $43.900 – $133.900 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
