Job Description

Generative AI Platform Engineer - Polyglot/Python sought by leading investment bank based in the city of London. Inside IR35 - 2/3 days a week onsite.

• Join the Platform Engineering team as a founding member working on creating the Generative AI platform for the bank.
• Address large scale engineering challenges both on-premise and on cloud utilizing cutting edge techniques like LLMs.
• Seeking innovative and creative self-starters with experience in developing large-scale platforms involving data, finance, and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build high-quality, highly reliable software.
• Partner closely with other development teams, quants, and subject-matter experts.
• Ensure software platforms comply with the bank's security and SDLC processes.
• Operate the platform at scale while driving innovation.

Requirements

• Experienced in using AI/ML, particularly LLMs.
• Strong knowledge and deep experience of Python.
• Strong distributed systems and system architecture skills.
• Experience in building and running large platforms at scale.
• Knowledge of structured programming languages like Java, C#, and possibly more esoteric languages such as Rust, Clojure, or Haskell.
• Good understanding of Kubernetes, Kafka, and REST-ful design.
• Development experience with at least one public cloud provider.
