Purpose
Design, develop, implement, maintain, and enhance web-based business applications to ensure efficiency and to meet the business needs of departments supported by Technology Resources (TRecs).
Responsibilities
- Provide direct input for the development of departmental standards, process improvements, and technical documentation. Create software documentation including flowcharts, statements of program objectives, and associated documentation.
- Provide operation support for business application systems and services, including monitoring systems and communicating with a variety of audiences. Support teammates and share knowledge.
- Provide programming, technical, and data analysis. Write custom code, configure software packages, and analyze and debug moderate to complex programming logic. Build integrations between software packages. Accurately scope projects and tasks. Collaborate with others in an Agile environment to deliver effective software solutions.
- As technical lead, work closely with product owners to determine business requirements and system objectives for small and medium efforts. Investigate available software configurations and capabilities. Make well-considered recommendations and decisions with ambiguous information. Ensure technical tasks are defined for the project team.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrate ability to analyze complex problems and propose and implement good solutions
- Resourceful problem solver
- Experience programming in Python
- Display ability to analyze, test, and debug code
- Experience with Github or other Version Control
- Self-motivated and capable of managing shifting priorities and tasks to meet deadlines independently and collaboratively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with both non-technical and technical audiences
- Exhibit professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or familarity with the following systems, languages, or frameworks: Django, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Javascript, HTML, Stonebranch, AWS
- Experience with implementing/integrating vendor software packages into a production environment
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing technology
- Experience with waterfall, agile, scrum, or hybrid software development processes
