Position Overview

Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the translation of research findings into clinical assays and kitted products.
- Drive innovation through the introduction of new technologies.
- Design, conduct, and analyze experiments; troubleshoot as necessary.
- Manage and prioritize research projects to align with company objectives.
- Drive product development initiatives for cost, performance, and workflow optimization.
- Facilitate the transfer and validation of new assays to the clinical operations team.
- Prepare technical reports, SOPs, detailed protocols, and contribute to company documents.
- Ensure smooth laboratory operations including equipment maintenance and sample management.
- Directly manage the work of other personnel, as well as provide technical support & troubleshooting.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders on project status and strategic direction.
- Perform other related duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree years in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or a related field with ≥6 years or a PhD with ≥3 of post-graduate experience.
- Proven experience in molecular diagnostic assay development in an industry setting.
- Proficiency in molecular biology techniques, especially multiplex qPCR; NGS experience is advantageous.
- Experience handling clinical samples such as Blood/Urine/Saliva is preferred.
- At least 2 years of project management and direct line-management experience.
- Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, multinational startup environment.
- Critical thinker-- capable of making astute decisions when faced with limited information and ambiguity.
- Demonstrated expertise in drafting technical reports, SOPs, and regulatory documents.
- Strong command of data analysis & presentation techniques. An ability to work with Python or R is required.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
