GovFirst is seeking experienced Software Engineers to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s or master’s degree and a minimum of eleven (11) years of related experience.
This position will play a critical role in supporting our Government customer by developing and implementing software solutions to automate the provisioning of physical and cloud servers, utilizing existing COTS products such as ServiceNow.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement software solutions for automated provisioning of physical and AWS servers using ServiceNow.
- Utilize extensive scripting knowledge in PowerShell, Power-CLI, JavaScript, Python, Perl Scripts, and Bash Shell scripting.
- Deep understanding and experience in cloud technologies, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud, and Oracle Cloud.
- Provide analytical and technical support, installation, repair, and troubleshooting in cloud services.
- Recommend cloud solutions based on customer/system requirements and provide guidance to customers interested in working in a multi-cloud environment.
- Develop web-based UIs, implement web apps, and support services.
- Utilize Linux experience for system automation.
- Experience in developing ServiceNow applications and extensive JavaScript experience.
- Additional responsibilities may include system automation, IT system automation (including AI/ML), automated testing, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and knowledge of SecDevOps on iterative development projects.
Requirements
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
- Minimum of eleven (11) years of related experience.
- Experience with ServiceNow and automated provisioning mechanisms.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Power-CLI, JavaScript, Python, Perl Scripts, and Bash Shell scripting.
- Deep understanding of cloud technologies and experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud, and Oracle Cloud.
- Experience with Linux, system automation, and web-based UI development.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:
- Knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform, etc.
- Experience with IT system automation, AI/ML, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Knowledge of SecDevOps, cloud design, Infrastructure as Code, and Agile development principles.
- Familiarity with modern software languages such as Java, C, C++, C#, Python, Perl, etc.
