Position Overview
They are currently seeking Senior Backend Software Engineers responsible for crafting data-intensive applications and services reshaping the way medical experts interact with medical images. These engineers collaborate with product designers, managers, and researchers, aiming to solve challenges and advance technology's application.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop API solutions for both internal and external web services, focusing on storing and exposing data managed by radiologists, employing test-driven development methodologies.
- Construct robust and efficient services to manage and transfer substantial volumes of data to clients.
- Work in collaboration with frontend and quality engineers for code specification, writing, testing, and deployment.
- Engage in ideation sessions with product managers, designers, scientists, and the GTM team.
- Translate vision into a tangible quarterly roadmap by partnering with engineers, product managers, and senior leadership.
- Mentor and train team members on design techniques and coding standards, elevating the team's performance.
- Address problem requirements from Product and innovate solutions tailored to feedback.
- Review, plan, and architect end-to-end solutions, focusing on company objectives and balancing solutions based on cost and value.
- Conduct code reviews and pair programming sessions within the organization, contributing to robust testing practices.
Key Requirements:
- 6+ years of professional experience in Python or similar object-oriented languages (preferably Python3).
- 5+ years of experience in API design and Database management (SQL or NoSQL).
- Proficiency in addressing performance and optimization challenges, especially at scale, with the ability to diagnose and prevent these issues.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to write documentation and RFCs.
- Capability to evaluate trade-offs among multiple solutions based on business needs.
- Bonus: Proficiency in Amazon AWS, Django, Docker, Kubernetes, and general full-stack experience.

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000 - $175,000 + equity + benefits. The pay scale is flexible based on experience, location, skills, competencies, education, and training.
