In this role, you will be responsible for integrating security into the development of cloud-native applications by collaborating with our software engineering team to implement best practices and integrate Development, Security, and Operations seamlessly.
Job Details
We are on the lookout for a passionate Platform Engineer to join our dynamic technology team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a flair for problem-solving and a deep understanding of the interplay between development, security, and operations. In this role, you will be responsible for integrating security into the development of cloud-native applications. You will also play a pivotal role in enhancing the security of our systems and applications, developing and implementing security measures, and maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of our data.
Job Details - Responsibilities:
- Automate account provisioning processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Establish secure and automated CI/CD pipelines, fostering a "security by design" culture.
- Implement streamlined multi-account deployments, enhancing system reliability.
- Set up and maintain various environments (sandbox, staging, prod) while focusing on application reliability, operations infrastructure, and security.
- Ensure compliance with SOC2 security requirements, collaborating closely with security vendors for Type 2 certification.
- Create monitoring and logging setups for effective troubleshooting and incident response.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks to ensure system performance.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in DevOps, Security Engineer, or related roles within AWS ecosystem, preferably in a startup setting.
- Profound understanding of AWS services and security features, hands-on experience with AWS security tools including AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, and Macie.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and automation tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Detailed knowledge of application security vulnerabilities, testing techniques, and OWASP Top 10.
- Experience with SOC 2 compliance implementation and upkeep.
Great to Have:
- Familiarity with AWS services, particularly Serverless Services like Lambda and SAM, DynamoDB, and Step Functions.
- Previous exposure to Microservices Architecture.
- Relevant AWS certifications, showcasing expertise in the field.
