Job Description
This is an Engineering Manager role, focused on a new generation of ops technology, to run a team that works in Python on Kubernetes.
Mission and Goals
- Reinventing the way people run software on public clouds and data centres.
- Building a new community around Python opscode for open-source applications running on Kubernetes.
- Moving all of Canonical and Ubuntu IS onto a new, open-source codebase.

Role Responsibilities
- Lead a team focused on productizing business workloads.

- Demonstrate sound engineering by directly contributing toward team goals.
- Set reasonable schedules based on considered estimates and manage expectations with engineering teams and stakeholders.

Required Skills
- Experience in Docker and Kubernetes operations.
- Software engineering background with proven Python experience.
- Experience developing Python frameworks with an emphasis on stable APIs.
- Passion for embracing new technologies and pushing boundaries.
- Interest in building products that improve software and infrastructure operations globally.
- Track record of developing and growing people within the organization.
- Knowledge and passion for software development in an agile environment.
